How about paying maintenance more than Walmart wage, so we can keep the good ones and not run newhire classes every month. How many times have you checked the log pages and found improper sign offs older than 3 days. How about at least having adequate aircraft parts in bases? I have lost count of how many times I have refused an aircraft in the summer with a pack inop. If you didn't know, we carry passengers of all ages, some ages are more susceptible to things like heat strokes. I have seen MX switch packs just to clear write ups. How many months have you argued with payroll for check discrepancies while other check discrepancies start adding up. Now you are owed $2000 by the company.
You have not been pressured? Go talk to a new hire MX about the pressure signing off without doing the proper inspection just to get STAR flight out of gate on time. Schedulers told to disregard FAR117 just to have a crew for the next flight, yet the crew is still illegal to fly. Payroll double taxing crews just so Hulas can get some extra cash.
I have filed numerous "I am concerned" forms, letters to the chief pilot and the DO over the years and only got "thank you for the concern, we will look into it." The mentioned items has to go through people higher than the DO, and those people have no desire to improve the operation because it will increase cost. Every airline has problems, but TSA and Gojet is plagued with it.
It's time for you to go to Allegiant or Spirit.

You do realize that during the hiring spree of 2007 and 2013, TSA was picking up pilots who couldn't get hired anywhere else, that why the TSA cheerleaders are stronger than the rest of other pilot groups. Let me guess, you are one of them. I quit this company the day a chief pilot asked me why I refused an extension. I guess they will start adopting RAHs policy on refusing extensions.

Did you say because I didn't feel it was safe? Just because he's asking doesn't mean he's going to discipline you. There are many airlines that stsrt your day assuming they you'll take the 2 hour extension. Asking why you didn't take a 30 minute one isn't an unfair question. He is your boss. Bosses ask their employee questions. My friend at Delta had his chief pilot ask why he didn't have his hat. Should he quit too?

We were an airline that didn't investigate extension refusal, Delta does. They started these investigations after putting out all these performance memos. Delta has a written hat policy vs TSA making up rules without Union consultant on hard FAR117 rules. TSA is not far away from disciplining extension refusals.

So, you're saying that you're disappointed that we now have policies that match Delta Air Lines?

It runs in the family.

After flying for many real airlines, this dump should not be calling itself an airline. There is a damn regional pilot shortage out there and these idiots think they will survive by treating everyone like *******.
I'm no cheerleader, but it does sound like you got fired. The payroll is a mess...that is absolute truth. As far as the rest of what you're saying...way off base. KS will always back safety over anything else. I can personally attest to that. I have NEVER been pressured to accept an extension...not once. I've only been asked like twice in 2 years to extend an extra half hour. Scheduling never messes with part 117. I've never had a problem with that; however, they will try and manipulate the contract. Just call them out on it, and the CP will always back you. I've flown with maybe a few captains that were atrocious. I hear that most FO's are good, with the exception of a few that are scary. This is true of every airline. Don't kid yourself. Some guys just slip through the cracks. The DE's in the training department are not in the habit of passing guys who can't find their ass with both hands. If you show up with a good attitude and do your job like a professional, your problems here should be minimal. I'm guessing it's your attitude that's causing you problems.

Dude you probably buy the wifi on deadheads too so you can troll this thread 24/7. Do you not have hobbies?

His complaint wasn't the fact that he didn't get free coffee. The way I took it was a commentary on how pathetic it is that the training center and HQ has an employee funded coffee program. It's not about the coffee man. It's about what it says about the company. "pilots are idiots" says the guy that trolls an online thread 24/7 while having nothing better to do. How else do you explain the CONSTANT response to comments left by you EVERY day?

It's literally about coffee. Most companies don't supply the coffee or snacks for their employees. Judging the break room of a company as to whether it cares about its employees is the most asinine argument you could make.

I have plenty to do. I attend concerts, volunteer, and have many hobbies. So, assumption:fail.

CBS estimates that 63% of employers provide free coffee for their employees. The magazine Vending Quarterly puts it at 76%.
