Mostly Captain, a little bit of FO for now. Not sure how it'll shape up as the fleet grows and more get online. I did hear a rumor that no CQFOs will be going to Denver, at least when it initially opens. Again, it's just a rumor but has anyone else heard anything similar?

I second this...exactly what is and what I've heard

DEN will go senior initially (it makes sense) then go junior as it grows.

Correct. I didn't count all the way down to the bottom but there's right at 30-35 standing bids in for Denver on the FO side before it gets to CQFOs. Staffing 5-6 FOs per airplane you're looking at having 6 airplanes in Denver before a CQFO is awarded a transfer there. Early word is the base is opening with 3 or 4 airplanes, so probably sometime around the 2nd or 3rd month some CQFOs may start getting out there.

Ah that makes sense if it's just a matter of seniority. The way it was explained to me it sounded like some CQFOs would've been able to hold it but would not have been awarded the transfer for some unknown reason he se my confusion. Thanks for clarifying.

CQ poolie here. Just saw the above post regarding no CQFOs in the initial Denver award. When I interviewed in STL, they implied that close to half of the TSA flying will be out of DEN eventually. Sound right?
Is it safe to assume IAD out of OE?

Correct and correct. Denver will grow rapidly once it gets open. I don't see it being small for long. I've heard all the Unites birds will be going their until it reaches 18. Through the last standing bid count we didn't have more than 50 FO's with bids in for it. At least half of them will probably be upgrading in the next 4 or 5 months anyway. So you can do the math there. I didn't count the CQFO's with bids because no one seems to know exactly where they fall on the list as far as bids are concerned.

Eventually Denver will be a big base, but it has to grow over the coming months. Initially it looks like there won't be any CQFOs with the seniority to hold it in this first award, but as it grows it shouldn't take long at all. I'd still probably plan in IAD for the time being but you could be pleasantly surprised depending on when you start class.

Thanks for that. It was refreshing in the interview to hear some straight talk, seems like a good place to be. I've been hearing a lot more "Waterski" on the DEN ramp recently.
Hoping for a call in the next few months!
Any place to find limitations and basic system information?

Few months? Unless you want to wait that long for time building/personal reasons, you could be in class in May if you want to. With the large classes coming in, seniority will be huge in the coming months. Get your number as soon as practical.
