Meh, might be good for someone like me with 135 PIC time, but no 121 time who wants to get into a major someday.

It doesn't matter anymore, PIC time is going to be a thing of the past for moving on to the majors. If you go to a regional without the resources to hire new talent then you most likely won't have a job at said regional within two years. The landscape is changing, how much deeper are their pockets at TSA to attract more talent and keep their planes flying? A one time 10K bonus isn't going to cut it.

I have to admit you are probably correct. A year from now things are going to be pretty interesting everywhere.

EDIT: To be honest, PIC time will probably only be important to hiring pilots away from wholly owned carriers, its how the regional labor cost will stay low. IE- why hire a junior fo away when you can hire a senior captain away that costs more money to the regional.

I think PIC is a discriminator just like anything else. There are thousands of pilots with PIC time with applications in. It's still going to be important. Will people get hired without it? Absolutely. All things equal, will someone with PIC get hired over no PIC? Absolutely.

If you go to TSA, you'll be off reserve faster than you will be at Endeavor...which may equate to years. Everyone know that reserve is one of the worst things you can do at an airline. If you just want the retention bonus and live in base, then maybe Endeavor is for you.

I think the one card our company had was the CQFO program. I think for a lot of FOs sitting at stagnant regionals it made a lot of sense and offered a pretty unique opportunity to be captain right away. Unfortunately, I don't think the program was well communicated in a lot of ways and a lot of people were VERY mis-informed on what it entailed. I know so many people who didn't think it was real. But I was surprised to hear we were slowing it down since we need every body we can get right now. $10k at least puts us on the same level or more as other regionals offering bonuses. I hope it works.

Are the classes actually that short? I had heard we were doing 30/Month? That seemed fine to staff, or is this just the company being pro active for a change? Just looking at the standing bid list last nothing we already had 100+ in class since the announcement.

You must be thinking of ExpressJet.
Shrinking carriers have little use for new aircraft.

I'm not. Endeavor is exchanging -200 for 7/9 series at 2 for 1

What? There was never an exchange program, never any 700's on the table and never a 2 for 1 deal. You clearly have no idea what is going on in this industry, and this just proves it.
