Good luck to them when the dookie hits the fan and the UAL MEC Chairman blames $140 a barrel oil and a massive recession on the CEO and refuses to even speak about mitigating furloughs. I'll sell em the t-shirt, but at least they'll get free cobra while they enjoy foreclosure.

Good to hear. They are currently making more money with far better work rules then anything Fred and his friends ever offered. In fact if they are new hires, I'm glad they actually get health insurance without a 3 month wait like 'Work Hard, Fly Right' had as a policy.

$140 oil would do wonders for the wide body flying out of IAH. We would be buying 380's to fly oil service workers all over the world, including North Dakota.

$48 oil??? Well, not so much.

And the 767-300 pays pretty much the same as guppy...

Displacement final is out.

What's with the guys going IAH 787? I thought once a base closing was announced you couldn't displace in?

It's not officially closing until after the NPDM plays out. So guys are just playing the Bumping Game. Bumpity Bump Bump Bump. It's like musical chairs.... all fun and games until somebody loses an eye....or mama U changes her mind and you end up stuck in GUAM/Cleveland!

With 5 new 787s coming by January 18, and all of the current West coast flying that is being forced in IAH coming back West, the only way I see bumps coming to the 787 out West is if a large portion of the 747 Captains chose the 787 over the 777. That could happen, but then they would need bids into the 777 CA seat, so some of the 787 guys could just end up bidding over to that!

All I can say at this point is the PIs on the 777 and 787 fleets are going to be some busy dudes and dudettes!!
