As a PS, I never terminate an aircraft at a maintenance station.

Hey, if they didn't want me to push the button they shouldn't have put it there.

If the airplanes were more regularly powered down completely dark, with GS switch selected, maybe we wouldn’t have as many electrical issues- especially with the entertainment systems. Every computerized device needs to be shut off periodically.

Again, you don't need to push the GS switch anymore as its automatic on the NG's. Perhaps they should just have MX completely kill the power for at least 5 mins at the end of every day?

I was referring to the 757/767 fleet, for some reason they only seem to kill the power to try to fix a problem that has already occurred.

Been a while since I was 756, but you used to be able to keep gs on by pushing power levers forward before killing power.

Or you can just push the GS button after turning the battery off.

What are “power levers?”

Thrust leavers how about that one. Throttle?

I likes the leavers

Either way, you can or could, push them forward during term checklist and kill batt switch then pull them back and the gs stays powered.
