My active component counterparts are always looking for someone their boss trusts to come in and hold down a desk so they can go on leave out of the area. Might not even need to be in theoffice every day, just need to be local and comply with liberty policy. Not ultra high priority duty, but a legit requirement nonetheless.

Don't look now, but I think it may be bigger than a 727.
Dave, nothing to get over! I honestly could not care less that YOU want to name your airplanes. For me, it's more of an issue of people that are not in the business and some that are that have no idea what you are talking about. And naming a plane/car/or something else seems, well something I would do in college. I am not aware of any other airline using names (guppy, whale, fifi, etc) as much as this airline does. But, if you and others want to use it have at it! By the way what cute name do you have for the 727?

again, in AMC squadrons, 50-75% of the squadron is on the road and not deployed during the holidays. Try getting a little outside your fighter bubble.

Never said ANYTHING about AMC. Was nothing BUT a general observation obviously not applicable to everyone. I have stated that. Relax. We all know this happens, but we all know many sacrifice for others and take one for the team as well. The system is abused by some, and you should care because it makes others look bad. Take your own advice, get outside of your bubble.

It was a boring name. Tri-motor. Lead sled.

We had some what were called 727 Stretch, and the 727 Adv. The Adv were ok, but the stretch was the -200 body with the -100 engines. It was handicapped in a lot of ways. The plane routers tried very hard to keep these planes out of DEN.

3-holer or tri-jet. Have you really never heard an American guy reference the MD-80 as the Mad Dog?
