Great looking airplane, but the ergonomics, noise, and plenty more were a let down. Left the fleet as quick as I could. I'm the anomaly that preferred the 737.
One reason was being able to use a headset and have a quiet transcon. I felt better after 5 hours in the Guppy than I did after 5 in the 757 due to the headset.

The guppy cockpit is actually more comfortable for you that the 757?
I agree the guppy has a much more advanced panel (at least the lower one you look at all the time).

The 757 is probably the best hand flying transport category jet that I’ve ever flown, but I’ve only flown the EMB-175, Guppy, 757/767, and 777. It’s certainly way more capable than a Guppy!!!

Please help a brother out,
My goal was an LAX base. I bid for the a320 after the 737's had run out instead of a 757 thinking that even though I didn't get LAX, I'd have a better chance of relocating down the road. I see the recent bid has no A320 slots in LAX. Do I have any chance of getting LAX by the time training is done? Did I shoot myself in the foot? My eventual goal is DEN

Really wish they would not do bids on day 1 without any knowledge of base movement or seniority in base. Any chance someone can provide rough timeline of the bus into DEN vs the 757 into DEN?
