I understand things are always changing, but for a new hire the fastest way to ORD: 320 or 737?

737 is the growth fleet. It’s the best bet for any base.

take it for what it’s worth:

going forward the quickest route anywhere will be on the 737 (including upgrade). The 320/319 fleet will start to shrink as MAXs come onboard. The 320 has a cult following and the senior pilots won’t leave unless the A350 shows up.

The Airbus is just so much more comfortable. I wasn’t a believer until I came over. It’s gonna be hard to leave it when the time comes, despite the less desirable flying.

it’s all about perspective.

When I got my 737 FO bid in 2016, I discovered it was the most comfortable aircraft I’d ever flown.

The guppy’s ok once you make your nest and don’t have to get up. Then there’s the choices of: noise fatigue/ loss of hearing (minitel/ no headset), sore ears, or a sweaty head if you choose to wear a noise canceling headset.

I think that says a lot about what you’ve flown....or more importantly haven’t.
