wow.. the unlimited ones are amazing. Is it harder to commute to LAX or SFO from a hub like IAH? Cost of living is high out west. How do y’all manage? What’s the differences between 737 LAX and SFO? I remember precovid the standby list for SFO would be 80 people deep.

Future pilot here. Been following the new hire info on this platform. Anyone have any idea which fleet types and bases will be vacant for the July classes? Thanks.

Pretty much can count on majority being 737 EWR/SFO with some lax. Possibly some den or Guam- maybe but I wouldn’t bank on it. Much fewer Airbus slots, also would be primarily EWR and SFO. Wouldn’t be surprised to start seeing 756 EWR on the lists as well due to the massive amount of vacancies unfilled

Awesome, thank you! Will there be a time when the exact numbers are out? In July?

If you search some earlier posts, one of the recent hires mentioned when they announced the BES selections to their class. It’s not something that is broadcast to all current pilots

They don’t release anything, only way we know even currently here is when new hires post the class drop. But as the person above said looking at the past few posts on drops will give you a good idea..I’d expect the now ewr/sfo bases to get filled quickly and you’ll likely be stuck with the wonderful choice of Newark or San Fran on the guppy

in my opinion, LAX is the way to go. Usually the weather is better, and the standby list is shorter. IDK who else does that route but many other airlines are based in LAX which usually means more options as well.

Does LAX cover other airports or just LAX?
