I was able to pick DEN as a new hire back in the day. As a 727 FE.

Hoss, I typically enjoy your posts but damn dude. It was a simple inquiry. Just curious. Way to smite someone for a genuine question.
Don’t be so sensitive nobody “smote” you. But here’s the deal, nothing “special” was done for the pilots who got furloughed twice. In fact the only thing they got was a manure sandwich and a swift kick in the butt. And that’s after they got punched in the guts twice with furloughs, false promises and lies from the company.

Nobody rubbed my back, brought me a fuzzy bunny to pet or whispered soothing promises in my ear after the multiple surpluses, displacements, massive pay cuts, lies and hatred of the lost decade. Sorry not sorry that you feel smitten. The delayed training guys from last year ain’t special, it’s just business and yes you need to understand the true nature of our relationship with management.

If one thing coming back to TK in 2015 after being out for 7 years made me understand is just how little our current management thinks of this pilot group. Don’t fall for the nice guy act.

Hoss,

Although I don’t expect much on a public forum, I wish that you could give even a vague example or two expanding on your last paragraph. I’m curious what you’ve seen recently that brings you to that conclusion. I understand the nature of the relationship (and how it will always be to some degree) between management and employees. However it sounds like you were driving at more specific examples, and I have been feeling more of the “warm fuzzies” lately. What say you?

Someone asked in another thread but thought I’d at it here:

any ideas on time between CJO and class? I realize there’s some CJOs from last year as well as aviate people to figure in.

Has the company announced how many classes and how many per class?

The company doesn’t appreciate or despise us, we are just another line on a spreadsheet. Their job is to get the associated cost for pilots as low as possible, our job is to go in the opposite direction. Any “warm fuzzies” are deliberate to attempt to get a desired result for the benefit of the company. The day that I figured out that we are just contract labor heavy equipment operators my stress levels went way down. They play their games, we play ours, and it has always been that way. Show up, follow the contract to the letter, and then go home and let someone else deal with it for a few days.

They certainly don’t think as highly of us as we think of ourselves. But when it comes to pilots, who does? ;-)

Maybe we can take the family feud business somewhere else…

Anyone have the previously standard secret-spy-camera-picture of the whiteboard with the final class drop on it?

I don’t have the secret spy picture but the LHR van driver said it looked like this:

EWR 756 - 5

GUM 737 - up to 3
DEN 737 - up to 10
LAX 737 - up to 5
EWR 737 - *
SFO 737 - *

* = split 50/50
class size 32 I think...

Thanks.

I’m a bit surprised that DEN has so many 737 slots, seems that EWR and SFO have more need.
