only six days are protected… all others are fair game. They do have to assign open trips with pilots in that silo (example 3 days RSV avail) first… and they should assign pilots for open trips based on who needs the least days off corrected. I’m on global reserve and rolling days off happens maybe once or twice a month.

you can pick up out of base at 1300 base local time the day before. Two things need to happen. 1) the company must need you more in IAH then your base, 2) if you have an assignment already for the next day its probably not going to happen.
you can usually pull this off by picking up out of base same day as the trip departure when they will have to use a short call and you just had 30 hours free from duty.

good info 82...i tried and tried to do this while on rsv in lax and live 20 min from iah...i would call and they would tell me no and i would dial right back and see if the next one would tell me yes...glad to see that it is an option if it all aligns correctly.

Why change that? If reserves pick up out of base there will be no PP trips. Management would love to have reserves be system reserves. And not have to pay pilots PP.

I 100% expect PP to be there next summer.
The top 10% are used to making $500,000 to $750,000
United simply is not smart enough not to have PP every single day in the summer.
