What's crazy is people WANTING to fly the 73. First time I saw the cockpit I thought "What a piece of junk!! I miss my RJ cockpit."

Never did change my mind, could not wait to get off it.

The name of the game is dollars per day, not what you fly. This is just a job and the 737 provides the best schedule/pay/growth/seniority advancement….. on the NB fleet. It’s still a POS, but it’s a paycheck with more options for improving pay and schedule. Here’s hoping that the super senior guys stick to the 320 and 756 so I don’t have to give up my no red eyes, max 2 legs per day, commutable on both ends schedule.

I have been on the plane for a year and just broke 300 hours. YMMV.

How long do you think they'll be hiring into widebody fleets?

the lesser of the two evils. I take a ore-historic cockpit and a line any time over sitting Global Reserve for 2 years.

in a nutshell you only get 6 protected days off… the other 12 days can be rolled as necessary to compete a trip assigned. You still have to get 12 days off per month… so they just keep rolling your days off until they can’t anymore.

Global reserve only sucks IMO when you are a commuter… not bad if you live within 2.5 hours short call drive time.
