It’s not so much that people are bidding out (which did happen in small numbers), they just added a bunch of new positions.

They bid MCO 73 to break a WB seat lock, then changed back to their desired base. It's the same reason why LAS 73 FO is extremely junior too.

Keep in mind that this will be going away in November, since this trick is only usable for the first six months after a new base opens AFAIK.

I haven't seen anything from the union directly, but I don't think so. It won't be a new category.

it’ll all be spelled out in LOA. Due to the distance between them, there might be some unique provisions for callout, cross-town transport/pay etc.
