Keep in mind that manpower planning earlier stated that they plan to use every single sim period between now and next summer. Thus, after transition and recurrent crews are scheduled they plan to use all remaining capacity for new hires.

This is the reason that we are seeing additional classes scheduled on a rolling basis and with class sizes other than 40.
What is the training capacity for the guppy? There have been a large number of captain awards and I’m curious how many they can crank through each week....assuming they are paired up with new hires and not other upgrades.

Great question.

I just hope that CAs are paired with FOs as much as possible.

One ofthe junior EWR awards from 19-02 starts 12/16 - 1/21. No training partner is assigned so it will be a new hire who starts soon.

Haven seen any no-shows recently. Sometimes there's a furlough returnee or a couple FTI's occupying 2 or 3 of the 40 slots.

Going to have 49 Qual crews (not short course upgrades) in Dec and targeting up to 55 crews per month early next year. It will be the most training conducted in a single fleet in the history of either airline.

Wow! Good news. I guess there won't be many PIs out flying much.

On the final awards, are the names with SUP next to it just paper awards? No training required? Just counting up the number of guys ahead of me to get a ball park estimate.

Yes, SUPs are either instructors, managers, etc...

They still have the required number of flights to do. Doesn't look like this hiring will ease up for awhile either.
