I enjoy math problems, but please show your work. A one day trip with 2.3 hours block...so did you Deadhead the other 7.3 hours?

Forget about extra pay if you're senior and have vacation this summer- thanks to the mpg/ptc pay debacle.

The higher the PBS build window, the lower the chance of being upside down. Depends on your category and how you bid.

With 7 days of vacation you just need a pbs award of 76:25/78:45 or with 14 days vaction 82:50/85:10 in a monthly bid of 30/31 days, shouldn’t be hard at all to get that in a summer bid month?

FWIW, I have two weeks of vacation in July.

With MPG I’m gonna fly 4-5 days and get paid 82 and change. I know this in advance without even needing to see the bids.

The last thing on my mind will be picking up time or worrying about hustling for a few more bucks.

To each their own, I guess, but I’m gonna have a great summer with the family. For me, MPG is the opposite of a debacle.

Cool I thought from the post you were saying you couldn’t make extra money in a vacation month this summer...??

Glad your taking summer vacation from pilots that actually want to spend time enjoying the summer with their family instead of trying to fatten that W2.
