To each their own but after doing the International stuff for over 15 years, I enjoy doing turns and easy Hawaiian island flying over the long haul stuff.

That being said, from an F/O point of view the junior flying absolutely sucks out here and like I did, I'd stay an F/O and hold off the upgrade until I could hold the better quality stuff.
Easy 737 Hawaiian island flying is an oxymoron.

Getting very, very close for me at about 5.5 years. Great for everybody to have choices. But commuting, especially to reserve, is a no go. It does look like on this trajectory NB CA will stay junior to WB FO as far as Jr Lineholder for a while. But what if WB FO on reserve in base becomes available?

Throw me in that briar patch.

Good times for everybody. Hope it continues. Congrats to all.

I just checked. It’s still there.

Care to explain? I find it to be the least stressful, most enjoyable flying we do on the gupster. Even comes with a layover in a place a whole lotta people pay to go vacation.

Well, the guppy's work area is the worst of any United fleet for pilots. Small, ancient, loud, slow. A long flight in that torture chamber is not what I'd consider stress free or enjoyable. YMMV.

I agree I was more fatigued on a 737 day transcon then a red eye on the 757. Just something about to be able to get up and actually stretch your legs.

Can't disagree with any of that but it's still the easiest flying we do on the whistling sh!tbox. YMMV

LOL! OK, I'll agree with you that island flying on the guppy is less painful than the rest of the guppy flying. But that's like saying that being waterboarded is better than having a car battery hooked up to your junk.

Having a jumpseater on one of those flights would suck. I can't imagine what it would be like with 2 jumpseaters.
