All they’re going to do is change the fabric to something that doesn’t wrinkle as badly or have the purple tint in certain light. The leather jacket will still not be allowed, but a casual Friday, Maytag repairman looking jacket and a silly purple tie will still be included. The committee and company are sold on purple and the psychobabble that goes along with it. The initial look has the approval of the uniform committee. They’re going to simply change the fabric and parade around talking about how they listened to the employees while ignoring a overwhelming mountain of negative feedback that doesn’t fit their vision. Previous post are accurate. The horse has left the stable and dropped a big steaming purple pile that we are all going to get to step in.

Two questions I would really like answers to, though I doubt there is a VP or union officer that knows.
1. How much is this new uniform campaign costing us?
2. Exactly how much will going through all this and changing our uniforms add to our annual revenues?
I wonder how much customer feedback there has been on the order of, “ Oh, I’m not gonna fly United, cause their uniforms aren’t fashionable.”
Is there no one in this management with a sense of fiduciary responsibility?
Ok. 4 questions.

5th question to the list. When we see them wasting millions on uniforms that won’t generate a dime of revenue, mandatory F/A pep rallies in ORD on their days off, and now a new paint job, why should be worried about running the APU or doing a single engine taxi? If they don’t focus on cost, then my concern goes down too. Now if they fixed the WiFi or installed ground air conditioning carts that actually work, I might get a little more motivated. Telling our passengers that I’m sorry that this and that doesn’t work in a silly looking suit just doesn’t do it for me.
