Different weights and speeds seems minor. Different systems maybe not....

MCAS fail seems like a big deal. Heck, just having MCAS and not knowing about it seems big too.

Boeing certainly survives this. They are half of a world wide duopoly on commercial aircraft manufacturing. There is too much at stake for them to just go away. Airbus cannot handle the current demand for commercial aircraft alone. The economic impact would cut deep world wide if Boeing closed it's doors tomorrow. It's all about "accurate funds dispersion". After all the important players and and perceived threats get paid, this all goes away and it's business as usual. "Too big to fail" comes to mind. Unfortunately.
