You did not post anything in this thread worthy of the jibe, but I couldn't resist. Sorry. Hope you will forgive the internet poke.

You are 100% correct, and I was 100% wrong on that issue, but that was an interpretation of human motives and subject to misinterpretation of which I plead guilty.

However, you have espoused an opinion on multiple threads that it is possible to game numbers to change profit sharing, but it is my point that altering publicly traded companies financial details is all but impossible unless you are a criminal. That does not mean owners do not have the ability to bleed a company dry when they want, but such actions are visible to the public and legal in the end.

Ask me about LBOs in America, and how they are a corrupt legalized theft. That is what Lorenzo did to EAL and what Lorenzo's employer, namely Texas Pacific Group or TPG did to my wife's company formally called, IMS Health.

Well let’s all just remember, the company has money for:
Billions in buybacks
New RJ’s for express
New livery
New uniforms for all work groups
Hundreds of millions to loan to Avianca
New ground equipment

..... and no new contract unless we give concessions.

I love the nice guy act, but the buck stops somewhere.

Oh yeah, painting airplanes when they are due for paint but in a different livery. Totally taking money out of your pocket. 🙄🙄 (Lots of eye rolling).

Funny how now airplanes are now “due” for paint. Yet over the years how many planes have you seen in desperate need of one and yet be neglected?

I’m not surprised though, you came to the company’s defense judging by your history. Soon enough you’ll have your blue meatball. 😂

Painting planes is a normal business expenditure for an airline like fuel and tires. You mad they are spending money on those too?

I think we are all happy the company can afford it. We have all worked at places that could not and working for a successful company is better. But, what is the best is when the company enjoys the success they are having and does not ruin it by going to war with its employees. How about they continue the success and quit trying to eliminate jobs through scope relief. Let the employees who have done an outstanding job keeping this place going through a lot of change and turmoil a contract that we deserve!!!

In the words of Tom Cruise: “now you’re being glib”. Nice pettifogging though.

United, and airlines in general, have a poor history of keeping up the livery’s. At least this cycle we’re lucky it happens to coincide with derivative rebranding of what we have.

if the company is painting planes 5 to 7 years ahead of schedule it's for one reason only............to spend the money.

New ground equipment, new tugs. look for those next.

New uniforms, for everyone, and I mean everyone, that's third. Maybe it was first, but the barney purple didn't go over well. Oscar's son went back to the drawing board to re-design it.

Creative executive compensation coming after that maybe.....

Oscar and Kirby........just two good ole boys, never meaning any harm, sorta like the dukes of hazard in the big city.

New livery isn't needed. It's just a waste of money. They want us to single engine taxi and not run the APU? I guess that's to pay for their new livery?? Nothing beats subsidizing stupidity.
