”Billions in buybacks” was on RJDio’s list. No ROI for the company on that. Just a pure pay raise for execs, some of their compensation based on that. No productivity improvement involved. Yes, “that’s the way they see.” That’s the way they always see it. For us, this for that, a zero sum contract. For them, it’s this, and lots more of this. That’s now how we see it hopefully. We should greater compensation not necessarily offset by anything other than the fact that there is no product without us, the employees, and that product is very good right now. Mountains of cash.

You want their attention? Picket with signs showing Dr Dao beaten and bleeding and let everyone know that this is how management is effectively treating us.

If you think you’re being treated badly now, you have zero perspective and are very clearly living in a privileged pilot bubble.

Not exactly at a stalemate, our union is actively in negotiations on a weekly basis. Just chill and let them do their jobs, the post on here are ridiculous....

The target audience is Wall Street, industry analysts, the UAL Board and Oscar. Our absolute dead last target audience is the general public. To demonstrate labor unrest exists at United. Has absolutely nothing to do with anyone having any sympathy for us, never does. This is standard ops in all pilot contact campaigns. However, today we have additional leverage since we can embarrass Oscar and indicate to the financial community that Oscar and Kirby’s financial plans may have some kinks. It’s all about labor unrest and optics!

So you're just fine with being a year overdue and looking at not regaining most of the money that will be left on the table due to our history of no-retro pay? Not to mention all of the lost costs associated with work rule and benefit changes that are left behind as well.
Speak for yourself but I'm not ok with it and its a win for management.

Really? How many pilot contract negotiation cycles have you been through? Standard ops in just about about every pilot contract campaign a year past amendable date is ratcheting up of the SPSC committee with unity events to include informational picketing.

I'd venture to say not many or he's probably part of the current MEC or NC.

...but they can lose (or not gain) a great deal when the negotiations become public angst about the United brand.
