You are raising 50k for about 10 pilots. Thats 5k per pilots. How long is it going to last them? Do you plan on using Gofundme platform to raise income until United reinstates their class which no one knows when that might be?

Totally impractical and unrealistic!
How about, just don't donate.

you can sit on the sidelines then while we show these pilots what it means to be a United pilot. The company failed them the pilot group will not.

united pilots have a very long history of taking care of their brothers and sisters in their time of need.

So far, 800 people have donated $40k. Averages out to $50 per donation. Many threw a $20 in the hat. So for the price of one dinner, the collective voice of the pilot Union has stepped up to support their future United brothers and sisters. If there was stress about making a mortgage payment or having credit card bills pile up, it will help. And you can bet they are going to pay it forward the next time someone else needs a hand. Hopefully they will be on property soon.

Has anyone actually reached out to each affected pilot to determine their level of 'need'?

Thanks for showing us all exactly what’s wrong with this industry. You must be a real joy to fly with.

I sincerely hope you never fall on tough times.

congratulations on making it through. So you of all people should have some empathy.

if you don’t want to donate then don’t. It’s that easy.

Yeah, Clay Lacy and a good many others took care of their fellow United pilots by taking their jobs. Sure you would help them out if they fell on hard times.
