My thoughts exactly. Why are we subsidizing a company like this with our donations? Both parties made a huge commitment. United needs to step up. They are saving pennies here by cancelling this class, especially considering they're on first year pay.

Yes, not the same, but he did say United Pilots have a long history of taking care of each other. Figured long history at least went back to the 80s.

And those who walked the line took care of each other and looked out for each other’s families.

Wrong way to look at it. This is helping people who need help. None of these funds go to the company in any way.

There are always lame excuses for some people to keep their purse closed, like not tipping the van driver....because it subsidizes the company.

so how about you **** off troll.
Settle down there. Yeah, those that walked took care of each other, but they were about 800 pilots short. I think it is great someone set this up, yeah it's not a lot but it means a lot. Has anyone one in the group shared what they were told? Are they starting the next class? Were they told to sit in the pool and wait for the summer? How many got to go back to their old job?

No, I am 100% in favor of helping these guys out, and donated. I am just saying crap like this makes you wonder how any airline pilot could be anti-union.

You are raising 50k for about 10 pilots. Thats 5k per pilots. How long is it going to last them? Do you plan on using Gofundme platform to raise income until United reinstates their class which no one knows when that might be?

Totally impractical and unrealistic!
I bet this guy doesn’t tip the van driver.

In a strange way, the way this has developed is good for our company, when compared to flt.ops mgt. deciding to let them finish class, and then furloughing them.

I've got a list of pilots you could ask.
