Delta Lurker here, to my knowledge the reason DL does not plan to furlough FAs is they are non union and thus have no line guarantee. they can spread the flying around as much as they want, keeping the lower cost FAs on board, and when this is over say they did not furlough any FAs. or their notices could have all gotten lost in the mail

sorry to hear about the announcement today, for all our sakes I hope things start to change for the better

Ok I went and read the C57 letter.....they stated the obvious......if it gets worse we will fourlough more. Hardly earth shattering information.

Because their merger policy is DOH, furloughs do not affect them in integrations.

Something we could learn from.
Please start contacting your alpa reps so you can fix the merger policy.

My hope at this point is that Covid's mortality rate takes a nosedive in the coming months which would likely help air traffic considerably.
sorry but the MSM no longer cares about Mortality rate, its now all about “Cases, Cases Cases”.......

From a somewhat junior WN guy, we had a 19 year UAL FO on the jumpseat recently. Even he was worried. The mortality rate won’t keep the public from flying—it’s the perception of the public to be in a closed in environment.

I wish all the airline CEOs would get together and create a unified campaign to advertise for the airlines together. Each of our companies had gone through great lengths to sanitize our travel system...why haven’t we had a public campaign in this matter?

We are worried too. Good luck to all of us, and I hope to see you on a jumpseat soon.

Fortunately, evolving treatments have reduced the mortality rate, however, only 177 deaths for that week aren't close. There were 239 deaths reported by the Florida Dept, of Health Covid Dashboard for that week alone.

No kidding.

That generic info would apply to every airline in the USA and anybody who thinks otherwise is simply delusional.

Florida daily infections have gone from approximately 500 a day to over 10,000 a day.

BUT

Daily death rates have increased from 38 per day to approximately 50 per day. Florida started easing restrictions May15th. To all those that say it takes a month to see the increase in death rates, it’s been over 7 weeks. Naturally there will be an increase in the death rate, but no where near where the media would have you believe.

According to my AME and my family doctor, both of which I regard highly, Old and compromised individuals take precautions not to get the virus. Those who come in contact with them do the same. The rest of the country go about business as usual and quit watching the media and reading internet headlines.

The site you linked projects daily death at 373 and total deaths at 17,472 on Nov 1 under the scenario of continued easing of social distancing mandates.
