No, there isn't much difference as far as 2 legs on one legacy vs the other. So if one lives in a United hub, they'll likely stick with United since that's likely their go-to frequent flyer program.
I was looking for an EWR-LAS nonstop recently. There used to be a couple a day on United; also some on other airlines. Now, there is no EWR-LAS nonstop on any airline.

I agree, but this again is what the airline wants to do vs needs to do. Customers are also going to have to live within those boundaries of what they want vs need for travel in the next months/years. A lot of customers chose us in the past because they only wanted the late Hong Kong flight or the morning Singapore. Well unfortunately United won’t be able to justify double daily runs anytime soon. So if they need to get to Singapore or Hong Kong they won’t have the luxury of having choices like they once had.

So keep the 756 to do DEN-OGG at 11am or park the birds and route via other hubs with fleets that are here to stay? Interesting times to come for our network, fleets and customers.

Except transatlantic, unless UAL orders some -7s or -8s. And even then it's not optimal.

There's a reason why UAL ordered 321XLR's in addition to the MAX.

Seems like every time they fix one component they find a problem with another that Boeing "isn't worried about".

I was hoping we would get rid of our MAX a/c and our MAX positions. Seems like the traveling public doesn't trust it, nor Boeing, nor the FAA that certified it.

Now that Delta is looking at the max, the public better get over their issues with the plane. When you read most of the public comments about the plane, it is obvious that they don’t know anything about aviation. If you rule out American, Delta, Southwest, and United, you start running out of options when it comes to air travel. I hope we don’t, but I could see the company replacing most of the older Airbus fleet with the max as well.

they'll be too worried about masks than what plane they are on... The Max issue will be forgotten when things ramp back up.
