As opposed to that’s all you’ve done. Since that is basically the what everyone applying already has, you’re not likely to get an interview without a hook.

My understanding is that management said the, “all qualified Aviate participants will transition by years end” in a town hall a month or so ago. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Example 1. Aviate. Twelve year United Express guy. Spring 2019 waiting for a CPP interview. Was told the program was being redone and to wait for interview invite in new program (Aviate). Waited until Fall of 2019 when Aviate interviews started. Interviewed. Got the Yes. The program requires an additional 6 month wait to transition to United. (In addition to hour and time commitments already completed). That led right into Covid. Waited another 15 months for classes to restart. Hiring starts. CPP pilots started in June. As of now, no Aviate pilots have been invited to Class. Still waiting....
It actually goes back a little farther than that. I missed out on the the initial CPP because I was out on medical leave. When I came back in late 2018, I tried to get back into it, but was told that they weren't interviewing any more under the CPP because they were reworking the program.

I just wish that they would come out with a number per month that they plan to take. Knowing whether I was 1 month away from going to the review board or 1 year away from going to the review board would be extremely helpful to those of us from XJT who just can't slug it out at our UAX carrier until our number comes up.

It’s should be very clear to the Aviate management team that this program needs ALOT of improvement if they want it to be successful.
As it stands now , people are loosing faith in the process , looking at it as just another recruiting gimmick to keep uax staffed. Joe blow off of the street , military guys with zero 121 time , all given priority over uax guys and gals .Not a knock on those guys at all , just making a point .
But hey , keep your head up , watch those sick calls and be a good boy and keep doing a fine job at uax . Maybe one day we will call your number .

If your resume is as impressive as the “joe blow off the street and military guys with zero 121 time,” you probably should give OTS a shot. But if not, I’m not really sure what the issue is. It’s a competitive world out there.

Flying boats. Why Pan Am set the uniform standard with their flying boats.

Why pilot uniforms look similar to a ship’s captain. They are even called a captain.

Hopefully it’s done before their hand is forced.
How many do you know that won’t call in fatigued or write up stuff for fear of getting booted at the review board.

You might not understand how this works. Once a pilot enters the Aviate program and flies for a UAX carrier, they cannot apply as an off-the-street applicant. They're stuck in the Aviate pipeline waiting for their turn. That's fine most of the time, until recently when May interviewees were given July class dates. That was a slap in the face of those of us waiting forever-most of us who meet the requirements and are ready to go interviewed in 2019 and feel like we are being held back at UAX to help UAX staffing while UAL hires over 100 a month. Zero transparency.
