Can you imagine what the last 8 years would have been like with CALALPA? Half those guys are in management now.

To hold a Captain seat from the LCAL side, it’s around 15 years employed by the company and likely increasing with the next displacements.
For the LUAL side, it’s actually a bit less than 15 years employed as many of those junior captains were furloughed for years. Hundreds of furloughed LUAL went ahead of active LCAL pilots.

I believe the junior captain on today's snapshot is 6396. He was hired at UAL 22.5 years ago and has never been furloughed. The CAL pilot one number senior to him on the current seniority list was hired 15 years ago. Just the facts.

Looks like the number is just a tad deeper then to get to the furloughed guys. Thanks for the info.

CAL furloughed pilots hired from mid 1999 to 2001 after 9/11. UAL 1997 hires were never furloughed, but many of them had CAL 1999-2001 hires who were furloughed at CAL placed ahead of them as well. So it goes both ways.
