Sorry but the holier than thou attitude of CAL being a second class airline got old a long time ago but keeps bubbling up, but always someone else's fault.
Knotcher, As I've indicated in previous posts, I've flown with many a fine LCAL pilots. I count many of them as friends. I am only pushing back when certain folks (AirMic/Whaler) want to say stupid things. Then, I feel like it almost my job to stand up and call BS. Read my posts before you say I'm trashing anyone other than these folks (or those that believe that I should have been stapled to the bottom of the SLI). If you're a doosh, you're a doosh, if you're not, you're not. Read all of the posts before you accuse me of trashing the whole LCAL group.

Hard times.

I wasn't furloughed so no, it wasn't a good job. It was great.

Volunteered to go from guppy left seat to senior right seater in Bigfoot so I was able to pick and choose sked wise.

YMMV

You actually did as you were incredulous that anyone could choose CAL as their first choice and said that CAL hires were UAL rejects.

Who the hell chooses CAL when they have two letters in their hand (one from CAL and one from UAL).
If you want to disagree with this staple viewpoint (which was not unusual in past furloughs, and which would include CAL furloughees btw) then argue the merits rather than personal jabs.

I couldn't give 2 shots about the tulip, so you're barking up the wrong tree. I'll gladly talk about bad things and failures of LUAL, but expect jeering and ridicule when you fanboy LCAL. I learned a long time ago not to intermingle my employer with my identity. You should try it sometime.

If the censored word starts with an F and ends with a K then, yeah, you are right. Just curious why your question.

Actually, in 2000, and most of 2001, yes. It was a great job. Then a disaster that no one deserves. So, know your history, know your contracts.

My unions speaks for me.
