And how many 737 PI's of the 3900 does that encompass?
Did you forget that ALPA negotiated to make it easier to furlough? Those furlough plus plans will allow the company to get pilots back in seats faster. I have no idea what part of that is a good thing for pilots.

let’s see how many take the plus option. They also have to recall in seniority order - plus or not.

Not saying it's an absolute givin', but I emailed TI about this and he said he's pretty sure the company is not going to try and get around it. And just seeing Spirit is giving their furloughed the pay out...

I saw a friends WARN letter and it clearly indicates he is entitled to furlough pay.

I have also also spoken with my reps and they have told me that they will not vote for any concessions to the contract.

Yet they voted 15-4 against a "No Concession" resolution? I guess their version of a concession is different than mine.

There will be furlough pay for furloughees. It'd be idiotic for anyone to state otherwise.

You can’t raise the debt of the worlds third largest airline and expect to service that debt when you are the size of a regional airline.

if they furlough this deep plus EOs bankruptcy is 100%. And CH 11 won’t be an option because there is no business plan that can show a viable company that is as small as United wil be, no one will invest. Iv said it before and Il say it again if United drops 4-5000 off its seniority list it will be out of business.

this is posturing folks.
No, United can shrink that much and survive. Airline history is littered with incredible shrinking airlines.
And if bookings don't pick up significantly, we may all find out what a much smaller United looks like. With or without a visit to the man in the black dress.

Besides, United is not the most vulnerable US airline right now. There are others with deeper financial problems. One doesn't have to look very hard to find them.
