explain to me what the current democrats have done to support unions. 8 years of Obama and were you allowed to go on strike? Or did they support the corporation? Did they export union jobs overseas? Keep livin in the 80s... they have done nothing for unions. Neither party has. You are too dumb to see it

Did any of you vote yet? Do you plan to vote?

Like most other subjects, posting your opinions/guesses/biases here doesn't mean jack squat - and accomplishes even less.

I wouldn’t even consider strikes. Neither party would allow any of the legacy airlines to walk. A small cargo company or someone like Allegiant could be released, but we never will. Besides, we shouldn’t even consider United when we vote. We should select the people (federal, state, and local) who we believe will best serve the country, state, and local community. This job shouldn’t even enter the picture. Now, everyone go vote, and in a few weeks, the lawyers will tell us who won.

I would agree with that. It’s almost like the Democrats and Republicans have switched platforms.

The Democrats used to be anti-immigration, pro-worker. Now, 8 of the top 10 wealthiest counties voted Democrat in 2016, and as long as a corporation is woke, it doesn’t matter what $2/hr third worlder makes our products. Shouldn’t that be a Republican talking point?

I’m not saying Republicans are the bees knees - far from it - but to say we should only vote democrat is an echo from a foregone time.

You live in fantasy land ..
look at the actions/results not the rhetoric

just because lady Gaga says something doesn’t make it true. But sadly that’s the world we live in. People are lazy and will get the servitude they deserve

I honestly can’t remember ... who was denied the ability to strike under his term?

great point. I often wonder why Dems don’t want to protect the poor people we have in our borders now, rather than increase the pool who will receive more from the government than they contribute. Also, shouldnt Republicans want more cheap labor?

I honestly don’t know the answer… Just think it’s interesting where both sides have planted their flag in the ground

UAL worked under an amendable PWA for a couple years right? You would know better than me. Rebublic had to wait, I believe, 7 years for a contract and was not allowed to strike under Obama. Allegiant was also not released to self help. While I’m sure there are others, those are the ones I remember

The last airline that I can remember that was denied the ability to strike was AA, and that was under Clinton. Spirit went on strike under Obama, however he did block a railroad strike. Continental, Eastern, United, Comair, and Polar all struck under Bush 41 and 43.
