[777] loses cowling on departure from DEN
#71
The reasons are pretty simple, a lack of confidence, low self esteem, poor social skills, and a pathological need to see the replies you get from your lies give you a surge of endorphins which give you a momentary high.
These issues most likely stem from a poor relationship with your parents and because you are being picked on in school.

Nope didn’t say that at all. I won’t pretend to say I could have done better. I’m just making the point that Delta dude chimed in 7 minutes into the ordeal after the crew stated they had it under control and did several actions without backing up with the QRH. Just an odd exchange all around when he chimes in and why they even responded to his question is strange.

While it may be fun to throw shade on the double-breasted, but guy was probably just sincerely trying to help...after ATC asked for help. Now I admit that if I'm on a ground stop for an inbound emergency I do monitor tower just to see what's going on.

He was sent over by ground on tower's request... probably wasn't even listening to what had already transpired.

So far the conversation has turned into Delta trashing, Republic trashing and the outrageous ramblings of a sycophantic, juvenile troll. Which is about par for the course on APC. But how about we start a dedicated thread for the Delta did you run your QRH topic. Because it has NOTHING to do with UAL 328.
And I will answer to your comment on landing overweight. On the 777, it is about this complicated;
Autoland prohibited
Minimize descent rate for a smooth touch down.
Use flaps 20 if over go around limit weight.
(Go around limit weight is ALWAYS higher than take off max gross from your departure field so in this case use any landing flap setting you want.)
I get that you weren’t making a critical or derogatory statement previously, but I’m sure some turd is going to bring it up, so there it is.

I’m trying to figure out what any of this has to do with UAL 328. Which was perfectly and professionally handled.

I’m an airline pilot just like you. Here’s what I would have done: Run the QRH after you have the airplane under complete control. You’re welcome.

Technically the 777 doesn’t have a QRH, just the electronic checklist and the FM if it’s deferred. I’m sure that they ran the checklist, but used their experience to know when to stop and just get the plane on the ground. They secured the engine, the fire didn’t go out, so they skipped the dump to landing weight part and put the plane on the ground. Like Hoss said, an overweight landing in a 777 is a non-event, besides they were just going to HNL and weren’t that heavy anyway. Textbook example of how it’s supposed to be done.
