Here’s that latest rumor:
2 year contact
5% DOS
Retro to from DOS 31 Dec 2021 (5%)
5% after a year
5% on year two (15% total, below inflation)
Some reserve work rule improvements to disincentivize SC/FSB and global rolling to RDO/FDO
Big carve out for TK and LCAs.
No other significant changes.

Letting the company raise LCA pay and leave the line pilots for dead is insane.

Shorter duration deals favor us. That's a separate issue than a lousy TA...
Seriously....did anyone else here talk to the P2P guys a few weeks ago??? The COMPANY has been trying to close the deal but hasn't been bringing a big enough pot of money to get the NC to agree. Clearly something has changed.
If by 'WE' you mean the pilots via MR, I think the last no vote was 1997 (mid term wage adjustment). If 'WE' means the MEC, I don't remember the last TA they voted down. There are a lot of reasons they vote the way they do so I wouldn't say they supported everything the sent to MR. If 'WE' means the Negotiating Committee, I'm pretty sure they've been saying NO a lot since Dec 21.
My conversation with the P2P guy was very insightful. I doubt he told me anything your reps can't tell you on the phone.

My concern is EVERY leak from previous TAs have turned out to be true.

I agree about previous leaks😶. They tend to be 'true', but incomplete. The ones I've heard/read so far are very vague and don't mention areas where I expect significant changes.

It’s pretty close. I think last year it got raised to $59/day, but it could go higher if they went by locality. You’re still getting taxed on day trip perdiem either way.

Heard a rumor new contract will offer rental cars to pilots on extended overnights. Not sure what is considered a long overnight or if this has any validity. I guess some folks think we need crew cars at the overnight. It's actually not a bad idea. Thoughts?

Novel idea, why not reduce the amount of contracts we have by having longer contracts?
(Or at least have cola past amendable date?)

Don't fear the recession. The airlines have pricing power this time around and will have no problem covering costs. We should vote the day after United releases its 2Q earnings, which should be around July 19. But the timing is actually looking like we'll vote near the end of June. The MEC should delay delay delay. Let's not ratify something a couple weeks before learning the whole story.
