This is the way.

The 277 planes will likely be replaced with other planes. Most likely more A-321s. If not, then we won't replace the 757 fleet and they will just keep flying until those planes can be delivered. We have 800 planes on order, and right now they are all Max 8-9s, A-321s and the 150 787 deliveries start this summer. We've already said we are only hiring 2,000 instead of 2,500 but if we can get some close in A-321s I bet we go right back to 2,500 a year again. But yes without those planes we only need to hire about 2,000 a year until 2032 when our last deliveries stop coming.

Default Update application after submitting

Hello,

After submitting the FO application, are all sections able to be edited? Specifically, I'd like to add a letter of recommmendation after submission and I don't know how long the person is going to take to write it, but I can submit my application right this second. Thanks!

Yes. You can edit/ update as often as you like, up until your app is locked for review (which is a good sign).

UA buddies of mine told me to update my app after every trip, which I did. They also suggested that 4 internal LORs are the magic number. My app was locked for review 48; hours after adding that fourth internal LoR, so while I'm sure that plenty of guys are getting hired without that number, it certainly can only help...

How does the new application work with Letters of Recomendation? Do you upload the LOR as the applicant or is there a process for the UA pilot to use? I haven't seen anyway to submit a LOR through the old interal process.

There's a section in the app where you can upload the LoRs. UA pilots don't submit the letters for you (unlike the Airline Apps procedure which I believe only DAL uses anymore).

I'd your internal buddies can set up a Chief M&G for you, they need to email their CPO directly. But for LoRs, you simply need to include them in the app. There's a check box to indicate if the letter is from a current United Pilot...

He’s been here for a few decades, so I think he’s asking as the recommender. I haven’t submitted one in years, but you’re saying they are just uploaded by the applicant?

Oops! Sorry I didn't catch that. Yes, the only way to submit LoRs is for the applicant to do so via the new internal app...

So a Chief can have recruiters pull your app after meeting with you?
