So earlier this year got my act together and started updating the app regularly, got it reviewed etc. Did that, plus went to an industry convention and a few weeks later Hogan was emailed, scheduled interview shortly after that and now have a CJO. I really believe the convention is what set me up so if you haven’t been to one yet I’d sign up.

Total: 5000
121 TPIC: 3000
Also LCA, and non-aviation prior service. One thing that I thought was interesting everyone interviewing had some form of military background, but only a couple were aviators. Good luck!

Change that 3000 tpic to 1000 or more and this sounds like average numbers (however accurately an average could be guessed) prior to the flood gates of the past few years. I think this would be a fairly accurate profile for the current hiring climate.

That being said, you’re doing the right things by keeping it updated and attending events. They only have to say yes once!

TPIC seems to be a big emphasis right now, but the other massive emphasis has been on hiring from our competition. So at least you have that working for you!

Ive got some buddies at SWA too. I totally understand your situation. I will add in that the head of hiring has publicly stated recently that not having any TPIC does make you uncompetitive, at least in today’s environment. If Boeing/the economy gets their act together, you may see the standard lowered. 6,000-8,000TT and 1,600TPIC is the sweet spot for now. (Still people being hired less and more)
