Is there a cabal of pilots preventing anyone from becoming pilots? This is a job where race, religion, gender....... just doesn't affect how well a person can perform. Shouldn't our focus be placed on hiring those with the most experience who can perform at the highest level and not care about factors that have no affect on one's ability to perform?

Most women tend to want kids, and they know darn well that being gone all the time is harder for Mom than for Dad.
The ones that don't want kids, typically want the girlfriend life, meeting up for drinks with three or five friends four nights a week. Not sitting at a hotel bar in DTW with some fat old dude.
My kids figured that out when they were teens.
