Are you serious? I think what you're trying to say is, "They let brown people fly airplanes, look what happened! White guys never would have crashed!!"

Did you expect Ethiopian and Lion Air to only hire white male expats?

I never said diverse but it is inclusive to involve your son in law that eats paint chips and takes showers in gasoline. Now even the faa would hire him.
It’s not just about your race issues. It includes the equity part too. An example would be giving a very low subsidized student loan to someone with a low credit score and no co-signers because you need to make your numbers look good. Not just race but gender or whatever your spreadsheet needs

If they can pass the exams, grind the hours, be signed off by the feds and YOUR airline..

Then who gives a **** where they came from?

This reeks of fragile men gatekeeping for their own egos. You're an embarrassment to the profession. If anyone doesn't belong, it's you.

There is nothing wrong with legacy hiring or legacy admission.
legacies have to still meet the requirements, they get a justified perk of being given special consideration because they have a family member that contributed to the success of the company or university. It's the moral and right thing to do to give the children of people who have contributed a special look.

Because the chief pilot son was considered because he has a productive family member. The chief pilots son has to meet the requirements for the organization same as everyone else.
Legacy hiring taps a known pipeline that has proven results. Most legacy hires and college admissions far exceed the average.

Giving someone consideration because a family member gave the best years of their lives to an organization is the right and moral thing to do.
Giving someone consideration because the color of their skin, race, religion or what is or isn't between their legs is arbitrary and just stupid.

So the descendants of slaves ought to get a special look and special consideration, right?

gosh. I can't remotely imagine how things could get systemic after many years of that. I mean, I can't imagine simply because I'm incapable of reasoning.

Your favoritism is moral.
Any attempts to level the playing field is abhorrent. You love and appreciate your little club.

You're a hypocrite in the worst way. Disgusting.

You're just bitter and suffer from success envy.

This is sarcasm, right? It's literally the same argument for why DEI hiring doesn't mean lower standards or less safe pilots. Watch...

"The DEI candidate was considered because he has a (attribute that isn't strictly related to piloting a plane). The DEI candidate has to meet the requirements for the organization same as everyone else.

DEI hiring taps a known pipeline that has proven results. Most DEI hires and college admissions far exceed the average.

Giving someone consideration because a (attribute that has nothing to do with piloting an airplane) is the right and moral thing to do.
Giving someone consideration because (their parent flew an airplane) is arbitrary and just stupid."
