If not wanted, the vacancy will continue to be advertised on subsequent bids, however it will be the last one to be awarded.

Excargodog summed it up.

you said “Assuming you won't get an interview until you meet those requirements.” (referencing that nobody will get an interview invite unless they are eligible to be a captain per the FAA regs).

i said that was a moronic statement because it is a moronic statement. Plenty of people get interviews/hired who don’t meet the FAA regs to be a Part 121 captain. Of note: someone who spent their whole career in the military can only credit up to 500 hours of applicable time towards the required 1000. So you’re saying UAL won’t even interview military pilots. Yes, that’s moronic.

If one decideds to take the Captain upgrade in INDOC how long before I could get awarded LAS as a base? Reasonably. Thanks

LAS FO went unfilled last time around, so that'd be almost immediate while you're getting your hours. Plug LAS CA went about 1200 numbers from the bottom on the last vacancy, so probably under a year there (i.e. right around the time you'd actually be sitting in the left seat on the line).

It shows no signs of going senior, but it's small enough to be idiosyncratic.

that said ... you can go immediately as an FO even if you get booted to SFO or whatever for a few months when you start flying left seat.

Great news about LAS. How about LAX, for both CA, and FO?

Thanks, in Unity...

This data is super helpful, thank you! Would you mind posting the same data for the 320?
