Default Uniform BS

There are about 50 spots for 17,000 pilots to be fitted for new uniforms. The company has FULLY dropped the ball on this. Is there even an EFFORT to do this correctly??

Edit….50 UNAVAILABLE spots. Good luck actually getting in somewhere.

Don’t lose sleep over it. It’s their problem to solve, not yours. If they don’t have convenient fitting appointments, then don’t go. The MEC sent an email today detailing more screw ups by the company wrt the uniform fitting process. Said they would have never advocated going to a fitting had the company actually shared their fitting availability numbers with us. Apparently they thought less than half would go, and staffed accordingly. So, just send in your best guess on the sizing online, and if it doesn’t fit, have it tailored at company expense. Can’t get all this done by the time the company wants us in the new duds? Too bad. They should have planned better. Again, not our problem to solve.

I agree…but it just sucks, being the sort of person that wants things done correctly. I get that it’s “not our problem”…..but it’s glaringly irritating.

Call me a cynic, but me thinks the first wear day will not be in the Spring.

order the following:

same size white shirts.

Same waist pants, but I found pleated to be far more comfy than flat front.

go up one size on the jacket (everyone I’ve talked to said they had to go up one size).

Get the tri-layer tech jacket in the same size you’d comfortably wear a sweat shirt (XL, for example). or get the wooo coat if you’re into that.

do not get the tailored version of anything, as those fit kind of odd. Just get the regular version.

Is this irrespective of body type?

seems to work for people I’ve talked to. What I would call “average build.” I make no promises or guarantees. If you’re 380lbs of belly, or super skinny, I’m not sure what the right answer is.

You guys are such whiney drama queens. Getting an appointment was an absolute non factor and got fitted quickly and my ordered submitted.

Guarantee you that you were one of the ones who got the CCS links, the postcard, and blew that **** off. Now you want to whine about how it's impossible to get sized.

Had to go up 2 sizes from M&H jacket. Agree just get regular jacket not fitted. I’m skinny and 5,10 and went with regular.

Tapered and non tapered pants, the only difference I could tell was non tapered had no elastic waist. Very similar to current pants. I went with tapered and added 1 inch on the waist.

The new coat item is very bulky I tried on a medium but never unzipped the liner out of it. The sleeves were the right length but the jacket was super heavy. I’d never carry that thing around. Definitely cannot wear it in the terminal like a leather jacket. The sweater item was okay I guess. Looks kinda dumb. Also would never wear it. Shirts are extremely thin. If you aren’t running better shirts, ACA, etc. you are missing out. Basically all that matters is jacket and pants. Hat is the same company that makes our hat now which is the lowest quality hat I’ve seen…
