not one bit. But the post I was responding to was expressing surprise to learn about a term that’s relegated to gay culture, and I suggested a reason. cargo shorts are comfortable. I wear Vans. I wasn’t playing the victim, I was pointing out that maybe he shouldn’t, either.

I once had a guy (passenger) try to buy my leather jacket from me in the airport, seriously considered it but was winter and the trip was still young.
I think the "tech" jackets are great for layovers but look cheesy and cheap in the terminal, go to work and do the job, don't hurt anyone, get paid.
