Scope and the JCBA

Boy, I have to say that watching these SLIs in the industry is making me so ****ed that our early founders did not have the foresight of a national seniority list. You have SWA guys wanting to staple Air Tran guys and republic regional guys trying to steal airbus seats from Frontier guys. How many pilots careers have to be screwed over time and time again for the stupidity of management?? Now let's see how our SLI goes..................... I would like to punch wolfe, goodwin, and tilton in the nuts right about now....oh, and whiteford and pierce too.
sorry, just venting...

“insofar as the merger affects the seniority rights of the carriers’ employees, provisions shall be made for the integration of seniority lists in a fair and equitable manner, including, where applicable, agreement through collective bargaining between the carriers and representatives of the employees affected. In the event of failure to agree, the dispute may be submitted by either party for adjustment in accordance with section 13.”

So, does anyone know where the OTHER two main threads in this CAL/UAL Merger sub-forum went? I clicked on the ink in one of the posts in this thread and it went nowhere. Sure enough, that thread has disappeared, as has another!
I was just beginning to enjoy watching other pilots come out of the woodwork to challenge Jockstrap 257, and was quite amused by his new defensive posture.
So, does this happen often? Where the most read and posted threads suddenly disappear? I'm new here, so I have no idea how things work on this Forum.
Thanks for any answers.

P.S. The threads were "Swin & Spin" and "UAL MEC Forum Closed" or something very close to that.

Besides, do you really want a thread dedicated to you (Swin & Spin)?

Take care Neil,

Whether you agree or disagree with his position, he came here to defend himself after others made accusations against him.

Long-time users of the forum know that we'll provide the platform along with an extraordinarily wide latitude to express unpopular opinions. However, when the debate turns personal we'll pull the plug on a thread every time.
The best advice for a new user is to attack the argument, not the person. APC is definitely not the venue for UAL-MEC style threads.

Could have saved us ALL (especially me) quite a few posts if you had stepped in when it first started. Sorry, I felt the need to defend myself against the personal attacks. Next time, do I just drop you a note, or is there a link to report posts?
Not to worry, though, as the newbie from the UAL MEC Forum, I did not take it personally!

Thanks for resuming normal service.

What happens if every LCA decides to not do IOEs until the JCBA is hammered out. That will grind this place to a halt especially when our 65ers start golfing more. If the company thinks dragging their feet saves them money just wait till they see a bunch of 787s collecting dust in Victorville wih hefty lease payments.
