An arbitrator found them to be in error. Although not binding on anyone, I don't think they want to take this issue into the summer. But they have a history of saving a dime when it will cost them a dollar just for the testosterone high, so who knows. We'll find out after next week's conference.

I'm just going off of the Union com that you posted above. The only thing it indicates that an arbitrator has decided is that ALPA position going forward is that there was a violation of the TPA. I don't see anything that states that the company has lost an arbitration.

That is correct. There is a group within the ALPA structure, you guys do the math, who did not want the LUAL MEC to file the grievance. That dispute was settled via arbitration. The only thing won so far was the LUAL MEC's right to proceed with the grievance filing.

It is also a long ways away from telling ual pilots that they're going to get a check for 5% of 2011 earnings or claiming that cal pilots wil have to payroll deduct their profit sharing form 2011.

Do you honestly think it was an official announcement?

Would anyone like to offer an explanation why an attempt was made to prevent the sUAL mec from filing a grievance?

Who was the group? What are their names? Or are you just saying there is a nameless group? Was this grievance filed because the Tpa was violated or because the cal guys got money? I'm going with the later.... I'll pay my profit sharing back if need be, will it make you happy or would you prefer the cash?
