Just because a pilot was furloughed does not mean they have ZERO career expectations. Their name is on the seniority list, no? If you can extrapolate a "career" for one pilot on the list you can extrapolate it for every pilot on the list.

Just saying.

Longevity for what? just an honest question.

Try 3-day trips worth 10 hrs. Lots of those on the UAL 757 west coast...

I think he's talking about the seniority list integration (SLI).

After the USAir debacle (where ALPA lost two major airlines) ALPA changed the merger policy to make longevity a player in determining SLI. Many CAL guys don't like to hear it, but longevity will be taken into account.

It won't be a "Date of Hire" list....but you can't put a 5 year guy in front of a 15 year guy very easily.

Longevity, Career expectations, and "No Major Windfalls" all must be taken into account.

The final list should be balanced out by all 3, but anything can happen depending on who's in the room negotiating.

As of the date of the merger, they really did have zero career expectations. But if you want to play semantics, there career expectations were way below those who were on property.

Anyway, we can pontificate till hell freezes over, but we'll just have to wait and see!
