What was the method of "winging" at UAL? I vaguely remember hearing something that it was a pretty nice presentation.

United invited spouses up to Denver and then on the second day took you to the airport and at the Jeppesen statue ceremoniously presented the wings. At CAL, they drop them on the desk in front of you.

They changed that up (at least for us March '08 guys). Did the Brazilian grill thing, and had pics taken there.

AT FAM, the training manager was impressed by TK when he went out there, but then kinda hinted that's one of the reasons why UAL was "hurtin" financially...:rolleyes:

No.....That's coming from a SWA buddy (2000 UA hire/furlough) who relived his days at TK & the pinning gig at the "U".

Had several friends hired under the Cecil era at AA, and have heard what your referring to above.

That is the difference between you and Sonny Crockett, you obviously enjoy where you work and Sonny enjoys where his work takes him:)
