From an outsider wanting to get in, I think it's a very good thing to have the 787 in the top rate. Long term it is going to be replacing the 767-300ER, which in the new 2 class config with lie flats only holds 5 less people, yet the 787 pays 20% more.

If the numbers play out that way fine. I doubt they will. Get ready for it folks; "This is the best we can do towards returning to industry STANDARD and if it gets voted down it will take a long time to get new TA."

No doubt, sad but true. The railway labor act needs to go, it's antiquated and hamstrings large labor groups. ALPA should also make it a priority to update/change this ridiculous management friendly legislation!

Until we, as a Union and Pilot Group say- "Enough is ****ing Enough".. nothing will change.
Even under a full Democratic Administration/Government.. it's gonna take ACTION from us to change the RLA.
Motch
PS> If you look at the history of our Nation and People... it has taken illegal movement to make changes in our country.

Posted the rates this afternoon here.....annnndd they are already removed!!! W T F?? They basically suck. Less than Delta for the worlds #1 airline(according to Jeffrey, not me boys) until 2017, which is when DALs contract expires i think. (Waitin on DAL buddy to confirm) UAL pilots get better raise than we do since rates were lower on their side. Only good thing is $60/hr for our new hires so you guys will be good and can actually live that year!!!!
BIG FAT NO VOTE HERE
Why did it get removed admins??? Think the secret is out already and making rounds via email.

The 787/777/767-400 should never be banded with a 747-400. That goes against ALPA past stance. We are not bring those aircraft up to the 747 pay, we are bringing the 747 down.

So if APC deletes posts here, regardless of how accurate they may or may not be, does that mean they show more allegiance towards they union that wishes them to be deleted?
And if that's the case, favoritism, how then can we be assured that our identities remain anonymous if that is our choice?
Anyone with any connections at all got a copy of the spreadsheet. So what's the point in deleting it from here?

I disagree. You might get them to come up a couple bucks on the -400 but they'll probably take it out of the 787 rate. You're gonna have a crapload more 787's than 747's, why would you argue against having the airplane you're gonna fly a much larger percentage in your career not be in the top payscale. Time value of money, it's not a myth. Like I said, 20% more pay than the airplane it's replacing. If you're going strictly by capacity determining scale, realize the 3 class 767 only seat 183, while some 737-800's hold 187, so then they should be on widebody pay too.
