The reason why inferior 737-900s are replacing 757-200 is because neither manufacturer makes a comparable airplane. No deep long term plan to take heavy metal from pilots.

The reason the 737 is even still around is because of SWA.

"The 757's are being replaced by similair seat lighter 737's."

Uh huh. The proposed pay rates already reflect this, BS!

Interesting math here....

As a 756 F/O I'd be going from 110 and hour to 129 an hour. I'm not sure but I'm thinking that's not quite 40%........

Maybe the guys at MIT can come up with a formula to help you figure this out.

The big question is, if 737's are replacing 757's, what are replacing the A320's?

The scary answer is that the 320's will be replaced by the large RJ's. So, if you're a junior 320 pilot, either vote NO on the contract till they really fix the scope section, or send in your app to Skywest now and beat the rush that's going to happen a year from now!

Nah, when good ole UAL furloughs us for the third time, they will get us that great deal of preferential hiring at skypest again.

BIG FAT NO VOTE HERE

Why did it get removed admins??? Think the secret is out already and making rounds via email.
The answer was posted earlier in this thread, we don't host "leaked" info

Actually SWA is not the center of the universe. Other carriers have quite few -800s for example... Ryanair about 300 -800(NG)s. Lion Air has an order for 178 -900ERs. They are receiving about 2 per months for at least the next 4 years followed by the 737MAX. Let's not forget about American with their large order of slugs too.

Again, every 320 f/o has at least 12+ years. I don't think any of us will blindly push the "I believe" button. Most of us don't trust one or both MECs & certainly not anything from Fred of Jeff.
We are not that stupid TW !! Scope is everything; stay with us on this.

Can't wait for a TA, just to see what it actually will say, as a whole. Still like the saying goes "Never fly the A model of anything" I think that may apply to contracts, the first one out, is usually the one they try to get away with murder.

Large SWA orders are credited with keeping the assembly line open. I think it was the -300 and -700 orders. Now the 737 line will never shut down because everyone is ordering them as it is the only Boeing narrow body in production. It should have shut down in the 80's. Maybe 2080?
