3+ years past the amendable date of a 3 year, 9 month contract and:
-90+% on time
-Open time gone in seconds
-Working sick.
-Flying broken airplanes. "We'll write it up at the hub, the company needs this airplane!"
-Waiving duty time.
-Waiving crew rest.

etc...

In the Article that you cite above, it says the orders for 25 of the 50 aircraft quoted above was "firmed" May 10, 2010. If that's an accurate timeline per the article, then simple math says that those 25 "firmed" orders that you refer to were made after the Merger Announcment.

Interesting.

Thats MAR 10, not MAY. The 787s were firmed in Feb and the A350s in March of 2010. Not that it matters. They are OUR jets. Meaning sCAL and sUAL. We will have an ISL and all bids will be welcome unless there are fences which I certainly don't support, but they are not going to ask me.

All this is a moot point. The UAL CAL merger doc states that the 25 A-350's will be considered legacy UAL along with 25 787 orders. CAL also got credit for 25 787 orders.

So the debate is meaningless because there is already an agreement in place.

NYC is showing 737 CAs going to 2006 hires. NYC 757 is solidly in the 2005 hire group.

Age 65 has finally arrived!
