Another question...

Has anyone that recently received an email or phone call for an interview answered "yes" to the question; " Have you ever failed any proficiency check, FAA check ride, or line check?"

And did they ask about failed check rides in the interview?

I am trying to figure out why I am only hearing birds chirping from my app. Thanks.

I have a friend in training now that failed his ATP/Type ride. So no, it isn't the end of the world and I don't believe it came up other than him bringing it up to explain how he learned from it. Don't give up.

My airlineapps.com account asks for the following, and I read it as putting down everything and a MINIMUM of 10 years must be covered. Can't argue with someone that got hired though, but this is what is on my account instructions.

"Please enter your complete employment history. Jobs requiring background checks will need a 10 year history."

Could anyone please post a sample of the questions asked during the interview.

They aren't actively calling new people. For the most part, they're only interviewing from the 300 emails they sent out to applicants in early March. Sit tight.

I failed my first ever Air Force Form 8 check ride. They asked about it. I told them that since then it's been 15 years and I made the top quals in 2 different airplanes. It happens. It's how you dealt with it.

You might be right as I'm going from memory. I'll have to go back and check but I seem to recall I only went back 10 years.

...just checked. I went back 10 years. You are correct in your quote of the wording though. For whatever reason (maybe it has changed since I first applied a year ago) I did not include my full history. I would not read too much into it, however, and I only had one employer since 1989.

They only want 10 years of your past addresses. Work history I'm pretty sure is everything.
