The UALPA SLI proposal did not STAPLE 1/3 of the CAL list to the bottom. Instead, it actually used the tenents of Merger Policy. It should come as no surprise to Hoss, or any UAL pilot that CALPA's proposal was so out of wack. I mean, look at how the negotiations went. Profit sharing. Retro. It's just that scab-like mentality. But we shoved that contract down your throats with our numbers. Hopefully, we will hit a homerun with the SLI as well, since your proposal was so foul.

WOW! If this is what being a UNITED pilot is all about, please sign me up...LOL

Your proposal used the tenants to your advantage, and weighted them to your advantage. It did not take into effect any other factors. It put furloughs in front of Captains. But it's out of our hands, a board of 3 will decide, but based on your expectations and angst, someone should be watching you when the SLI is published!

Them's fighting words...

There is representing your guys and then there is unadulterated in your face greed. This falls into the category of unadulterated.
Your longevity might be 16 years, but your seniority is probably 90% or such. I'm not sure if I'd set my expectations that high. Anything can happen! Sit back, relax, and let your merger committee put up their fight. They will do their best, and a board of 3 will decide. We will have no choice. Life is too important to sweat this out everyday. Go and enjoy your family! Have a great holiday!

Olecal, you try to come off as Cool Hand Luke, but your assumptions and statements are false. The UAL proposal did not put furloughees ahead of Captains. Not one. And Hoss is in the low 80s percentile, not 90s, as he has stated previously. Of course, with the CAL proposal he is 98%. Don't worry about me when the list is published. I will be dancing in the streets. Just try to remember when the list is published that 2010 is where the snapshot is. That will help take the sting out of the result.

I've seen this is several cal statements. When your actions affect the lively hood of another, you are attacking that persons and their family. Don't blow it off with that cheap movie quote "It's all just business, nothing personal."

Guess this is from the early 80's mentors that Ben Salley says he was trying to protect. SAD!!!!!!!!!

Closer to 70%. I agree it's out of our hands but an attempted rape is an attempted rape. We will not forget.

It put furloughees above very senior FO's and yes current Captains, and I haven't looked at it carefully enough to support either of our statements for precision. I could care less, these are posturing docs. The arbitraitors will come up with their own list. I doubt you will be dancing, as neither will I, but I will be a professional, and march on. Will you?

As far as Airhoss's relative seniority, I was guessing! I would not expect much more than +/-5% into the final list. At the end of the day, I believe the no windfall ideal will prevail. I'm OK with that, are you?

You mean like the UAL proposal? I agree with that 100%! I'm down with whatever the panel decides. Question is, will your MEC be? What kind of delay tactics can we expect from them? Time will tell, but if history is our guide.....

No, the UAL proposal took me down 13% relative seniority. It included all UAL furloughs as if they were on property and active in 2010. That is a fact that I am sure of!

Time to start the marinade, enjoy the holiday, and honor those that gave the ultimate sacrifice! It's pale in comparison to the SLI.

Just did a search of the UAL proposal and nobody is 13% off their (current) relative seniority. Now if you are talking about a comparison between the cal and UAL proposals, there are probably some 20% differences. The arbitrators are not going to let you compare to something you don't have - it's a pipe dream and unrealistic. Sorry!
