Having read ll the material put out by both side, here is my prediction, like it or not.

Based on the arbitrator's instructions at the end of the last meeting, the awarded result will lie somewhere between the 2 proposed lists.

The arbitrators seemed interested in the program used by the UAL side. I think they might want to use it to run some scenarios of there own.

I think the answer will be to remove UAL and possibly CAL furloughs from the lists and rerun the UAL program.

Sorry to all the furloughs, just my opinion, and in this case, really doesn't mean much.
The instructions at the end were to tweak or fix each other's proposals, not meet in the middle. Just clarifying. Our proposal was not a shot at the moon like your's.

Which proves their strategy of overreaching to the far extreme to set a bounds to then "meet in the middle".

The UAL proposal is in the middle. Its almost exactly relative seniority + or - 5%.

You still want to hold on to that senority grab by your side. Not going to happen and selective reading on your part will not change that. The arbitrators said nothing about deciding somewhere in the middle, but they did say over-reaching(lying) will not gain any favors.

My 1 cent worth:
There are only 2 camps here; Camp DOH and Camp Opinion.
For the life of me I can't figure out why the majority choose/chose to join Camp Opinion. But it is what it is and I'll just have to live with it. I must be getting old.
Just one piece of advice to all you Camp Opinion people; try to keep the scars to a minimum and oh if you get tired of it, come on over to Camp DOH, throw in a line, grab a beer and relax.

Graybeard.

Yes....If you include every pilot who wasn't working in may of 2010 in the totality, without them the percentages change rather dramatically.

Fascinating indeed the absolutely neurotic concern over this outcome is widely held by mostly LUAL pilots. (Well....the 10 or so who frequent this site anyway). It's very difficult to shut down the subconscious thought process...Yes? A very telling indicator of the concern of the LUAL position. Only in my opinion of course.

Hoss upfront. I Don't believe 97-99 hires should or will be pinned. I also, do not believe placing invol furloughees, on your list ahead...of active CAL pilots , many Captains and WB FOs, will happen either and as outrageous. If you look at past ISL proposals, both sides were polar opposites... Bottom line, each side SHOULD do the best for their group.

Not sure, using term like " enemy" is helpful, once this process is behind us. Who knows, I maybe throwing your gear or vice versa going forward and enemies we will no be....

But we shoved that contract down your throats with our numbers. Hopefully, we will hit a homerun with the SLI as well, since your proposal was so foul.

Sled,

Honest question to you and all the CAL MEC conspiracy types, how much blame does Jeffery get for the fact our JCBA was three years late? I FAIL to accept that anything would have happened faster if there was no PS, W2, or Online Training spat. We only got a JCBA from this management because Richard Anderson boned Jeff's DAL+1 gospel. Any other attempts to assign blame are a best speculative and at worst indicative of narrow minded individuals who are quick to blather out the words "scab-like mentality."

Sure, there you go with conspiracy types causing the problems - you pass over the PS, W2 and online training issues as noble causes when in fact they were all a smacks in the face of the UAL MEC. The UAL MEC extended an olive branch and pulled back a stub for it's efforts. Guess you don't want to include the recent stuff like the senority grab, staple UAL pilots and Ben Salley's "blast mail" encouraging cal pilot to join the fight against the UAL pilots. Don't have to use a reference to the "scab-like mentality" your actions and deeds show it's still alive among your group.
