The first thing they did was pick a head coach. He made his picks and cuts. The team flourished, while the rest of the school fought each other. TIME is an important factor in any consolidation. Smisek should have seen that
Ok - don't you think that Smisek sensed pierce's weakness when he made the side letter deal for profit sharing and willingness to publicly denounce the UAL MEC on Computer training issues. The indication to Smisek was a divide that he could exploit to delay JCBA. It's easy to blame Smisek but don't you share any responsibility for the delay caused by pierce?

And "No", no one's gonna be happy. It'll take decades to make a twice furloughed guy happy. I'm just saying it'll be better
Sat what you want it won't be better.

If you are ExpressJet you are ExpressJet and do NOT get longevity for those years. That's life - there are no guarantees.

If you are ExpressJet, which was a wholly owned subsidiary, you are employed by the parent company.

I didn't "threaten" anything. Wouldn't waste the time on a such a monumentally deluded buffoon as yourself. Just pointed out that if you specifically, (not "UAL pilots" as you inferred) continue with the scab references after we mix crews you are going to be spending a lot of time in the parking lot. Not a threat, just an observation. I only edited a reference to full-time strikers for simplicity and I greatly resent the implication that I made any kind of "threat" that I later deleted. You're the only guy on this forum whose only agenda seems to be stirring up conflict - that and some kind of creepy borderline obsession with Jay Pierce. I doubt you'll deal with CAL crews with anything approaching respect, but no matter your preconceptions, I guarantee if you go around calling unionist CAL pilots scabs, "scab-like"' or scab-anything, you likely will be explaining yourself in avenues much less pleasant than Professional Standards, which I'm guessing you're probably pretty familiar with already...

Sure. We have some guys from Air Wisconsin on the property. I guess they can use that time for Longevity
Mainline is Mainline. Express is Express. Our Arbitrators know this:

“The career path of a commercial airline pilot typically traces an onward and upward trajectory: beginning as a new-hire regional First Officer, under regional terms and conditions of employment; progressing to regional Captain; starting over as a new-hire First Officer at a mainline carrier, under mainline terms and
conditions of employment; and progressing, finally, to mainline Captain.”
– Republic-Frontier-Midwest-Lynx at 33 (Eischen 2011)

But by all means, keep it up. Proposing such preposterous arguments is only hurting the CAL pilots in my opinion.....whether it's stapling never furloughed UAL pilots with 16 yrs longevity behind your 2008 furloughees, or fudging DOH with Express dates. HA. Keep it up.
