Just out of curiosity, as one who is expected to be dead last in my class and probably given 76T, does the two year seat lock include bidding from 76T to 756? I understand there will only be downward movement for a new hire, but what kind of time frame would a new guy be looking at to move from 76T to 756 in EWR?

Just curious, what determines dead last for pick? Is it SSN?

Also, can anyone confirm the max time from hired to deferring a class start date with UAL? I have heard rumored its 1 year...

You can defer acceptance one year from an offer.

The pick goes by age as has been discussed previously in this thread. Oldest picks first to youngest.

Exceptions are if there are retuning furloughees or folks with other UCH employee time.

737 you will be able to bid out of EWR in a year

320 you will be able to bid out to IAH pretty quick but will be in IAH or EWR for at least a year.

76T you will be in EWR for 5+ years.

Just basing this off what I have seen on the last bids. New hires have not been awarded anything but 76T and 737 in EWR since SLI.
In the pool, need to move prior to or during training...
Curious about reserve response time. Would living 60 minutes south of EWR meet requirements for short-call reserve?

Yes. I live in Dover, DE and that meets short call requirements...albeit, barely.

Are classes still going strong? When is the last recall returning?

Yes and they are mostly filled with new hires at this point.

Whenever he/she wants as long as a class is available until late 2019 and all it takes is a few mouse clicks to place one's self in a scheduled class.
